Partner
Anne K. Burnett is a founding partner of Burnett Legal Group and focuses on serving clients in the areas of estate planning and administration, probate, elder law, Medicaid, and Veteran’s Benefits, real estate, and business planning. Anne is committed to helping clients understand their options and achieve their lifetime estate planning goals with asset protection and any needed business planning. She wants what the client wants – to keep the estate and its funds in the family where it belongs.
Anne graduated with honors from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota with her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting before attending Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska, where she graduated with her J.D. in 1997. She received the CALI Award—an award given for the highest grade in the class—as the top Estate Planning and Product Liability student. She was also a member of the Advanced Trial Practice Competitive Team, displaying an early ability for excellence in courtroom advocacy.
Since graduating, Anne has spent her career providing her clients with excellent counsel and presentation in the area of business, real estate, and estate planning matters. She also serves as a presenter on those topics for numerous business and professional groups. As a wife and mother of two children, she believes in the importance of proper estate and business planning for her clients’ security and the well-being of their families. Anne is known as a dedicated and down-to-earth Omaha estate planning attorney who interacts with clients on a comfortable, familiar level and provides counsel that is accessible and understandable.
