Michelle joined the Burnett Legal Group, LLP in January of 2024. Michelle began her legal career as a Deputy County Attorney in Sheridan County, Nebraska prosecuting misdemeanors and felonies, continued her career as a Deputy County Attorney in Douglas County, Nebraska on the felony trial staff then as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s office in Omaha, Nebraska prosecuting federal gun and drug crimes. Michelle joined the Stage Law Office, LLC in Gretna, Nebraska in June of 2011 working in civil litigation.
An experienced litigator, Michelle has over 29 years of courtroom and trial experience. Michelle practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, family law, landlord/tenant issues, adoption, guardianships and conservatorship, and business planning matters.
Michelle graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and minor in Political Science in 1991. She went on to obtain her J.D. in 1995 from University of Nebraska College of Law.
Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and spending time outdoors. You will find her running, watching sporting events, or quilting. Michelle is on the Friends of the Gretna Public Library Board and is involved in Gretna Football Boosters and her church.
Michelle works out of the firm’s Omaha and Gretna offices.
